Official baccalaureate degree transcripts are due at the time of application.

Transcript Evaluation is due at the time of application for TEACH-NOW® online teaching certification. For applicants whose baccalaureate degree was obtained outside the United States or its territories, you will need to have your official baccalaureate degree transcript evaluated by a certified credential evaluation service.

We seek a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.0 or higher, or equivalent experience.

If needed can be evidenced through a number of proficiency assessments. We recommend the Duolingo English Proficiency Test with a score over 90 indicating proficiency.

We require a government issued photo ID with your application submission.

Discuss your interest in education, reasons for choosing Moreland University, and what you hope to learn in this program. Minimum 200 words required for this writing sample to be valid.

Whether you teach in your state or abroad, we work with you to ensure you have the preparation and tools needed.

What paperwork do I need to submit with my application?

Your application is submitted online. Additionally, please submit your official transcript from your Bachelor’s degree, along with an official transcript evaluation if your baccalaureate degree is from an institution outside of the United States. You will also need to upload a copy of your government-issued photo ID with your application materials. If you have any questions about what to submit with your application or how to send us your documents, please speak with your admissions representative or contact our admissions team at admissions@moreland.edu.

Do you accept applicants who do not meet the GPA requirement?

Yes, we may still accept applicants who do not meet the GPA requirement but have demonstrated comparable professional experience. Speak with your admissions representative or contact our admissions team at admissions@moreland.edu if you have further questions about fulfilling the GPA requirement.

Do you support applicants with transcript evaluation?

We partner with several NACES organizations and your admissions representative can help to answer your questions and guide you throughout the transcript evaluation process. However, you are responsible for completing the transcript evaluation process independently. You can learn more about the credential evaluation process here, review our NACES evaluation guide here, or find FAQs about transcript evaluation here.

What happens after I submit my application?

After you submit your application, you will hear from an admissions representative within 24 hours. If you have not yet submitted all of your materials (transcript, transcript evaluation if required, government-issued photo ID), then your admissions representative will support you to submit those materials. After your completed application and supporting materials are reviewed, your application will either be accepted or rejected. If your application is accepted, you will be able to complete the enrollment process. This includes signing the enrollment agreement and submitting your tuition deposit. Once your enrollment is complete, you will be able to select a cohort start date and begin preparations for the program!

Is there a cost to apply?

No! There is no cost to submit your application to Moreland University. However, there may be costs associated with requesting your transcript or a transcript evaluation.
