“Moreland has really helped me understand more of the classroom setting. TEACH-NOW gives you leniency in that you’re online and you’re able to do things at your pace. But it also gives you a foundation, a core understanding of what needs to happen for a successful classroom.”

Gabriela Machin
North Carolina Spanish teacher
TEACH-NOW grad

“Honestly, it’s been a dream come true. I didn’t think I could make it this far within a year. It’s really miraculous and exciting for me to have done the course and to say that I’m one of the [Moreland University] alumni.”

Irene Odei Siaw
International educator (Vietnam)
TEACH-NOW and M.Ed. grad

“[Through Moreland], I’ve learned to adapt my teaching style, to look at certain assignments or certain lessons outside of the box and say, ‘Hey, I didn’t think about it this way,’ or, ‘I could go this route.’”

Orlando Rodriquez
Arizona special education teacher
TEACH-NOW and M.Ed. grad

“I’m excited there was a choice to do this in 9 months. A lot of other programs were two years, and I did not want to stretch it out that long. I am a wife and a mom, busy family life, and now working full-time, so I wanted something quick, that was streamlined, and certainly the cost was less than other programs I looked at.”

Hannah W. Hawkins
Maryland special education teacher
TEACH-NOW grad

“I already had a little bit of experience, but Moreland provided me with so much more. It provided me with structure, number one, [and] it provided me with the vocabulary and the terminology to explain the things that I was already doing.”

Ayoko Vias
International educator (West Africa)
TEACH-NOW grad

“I felt like I was being supported at the same time I was learning. At no point during the process did I feel like I was alone or had to just figure everything out on my own… I would wholeheartedly recommend Moreland’s TEACH-NOW program. Not only is it flexible, not only is it engaging, but it really does prepare you to enter the classroom successfully.”

Jazzmyne Townsend
D.C. teacher, 2025 D.C. Teacher of the Year
TEACH-NOW grad

“What a Godsend. I was able to keep my job while doing the classes. It was way cheaper. It was online, so I could choose my time. And it was very hands-on. I could take whatever I learned in class that night, take it the next day to my job and actually try it, which was amazing. It gave me more confidence in my ability to do the job.”

Trina Seitz
Washington science teacher
TEACH-NOW grad

“When I came into the more typical teaching style, people would say things like, ‘Alright, let’s discuss the scope and sequence,’ and I’d be like, ‘What does that mean?’ I didn’t know any of the verbiage, and so doing [TEACH-NOW] helped me be like, ‘Oh, yeah, no problem! I know what you’re talking about.’”

Kathy Schmidt
International educator (Morocco)
TEACH-NOW grad

“I loved all the modules. All the assignments are super user-friendly, and I like that the professors mold the curriculum into what the students need. … Moreland was realistic about real life happening. I appreciated that, because it allowed me to have time at home, but also to figure out this career of teaching.”

Jennifer Mehrmann
Florida elementary school teacher
TEACH-NOW and M.Ed. grad
