Out-of-State Preparation Program
Wyoming has two in-state Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs): the University of Wyoming and Montana State’s Northern Plains Transition to Teaching Program. Candidates from any other EPP, including Moreland University, will follow Wyoming’s process for out-of-state applicants.

General Requirements
Wyoming requires teachers to hold at least a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Your degree does not need to be in education.
Testing Requirements
Wyoming teachers must pass Praxis exams in their subject area and demonstrate knowledge of both the U.S. and Wyoming constitutions as part of the licensure process.

Is Moreland's teacher certification program completely online?
Yes, Moreland University’s TEACH-NOW Teacher Preparation Certificate Program is 100% online.
If you are already teaching, the clinical learning (student teaching) portion of the program can be done in your current classroom. If you’re not currently teaching, we’ll help you find a placement for your student teaching.
Which accreditations and approvals has Moreland earned?
Moreland is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), among others. Moreland was the first online program to be accredited by CAEP.
