Out-of-State Preparation Program
Ohio has a list of state-approved Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs). General Requirements
Ohio requires educators to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, to complete an EPP, to pass a series of licensure exams, and to complete fingerprint and background checks.
Testing Requirements
Educators in Ohio take licensure exams based on their grade level and subject area(s). There are three main testing providers in Ohio: Pearson, Educational Testing Service (ETS), and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and Language Testing International.

Moreland University’s TEACH-NOW Teacher Preparation Certificate Program is 100% online. The clinical learning portion (student teaching) can be done in your current classroom. If you’re not currently teaching, we’ll help you find a placement for your student teaching.
Which accreditations and approvals has Moreland earned?
Moreland is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), among others. Moreland was the first online program to be accredited by CAEP.
