General Requirements
Connecticut requires educators to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and to complete an EPP, pass the required certification exams, and complete fingerprint and background checks.
Testing Requirements
Connecticut requires different assessments for each certification content area. The state works with multiple test providers, including Educational Testing Service (ETS), Pearson Education, and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.

Since TEACH-NOW is an out-of-state EPP in Connecticut, you would earn your teaching credential in another state and then transfer it to Connecticut via reciprocity. Connecticut has streamlined the reciprocity process for educators from more than 20 states and territories.

Moreland is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), among others. Moreland was the first online program to be accredited by CAEP.
