Module 01
Program Orientation
Meet your cohort, explore the learning platform’s organization, structure and resources and create a web portfolio and literacy guide.
Module 02
The Culture of Schooling
Comprehend laws and policies impacting education, analyze student diversity including literacy skills, multilingualism, and learning disabilities, and discuss personalized instructional strategies.
Module 03
The Learner & Learning in the Digital Age
Design student-centered learning experiences by applying digital skills and addressing individual student needs through Universal Design for Learning and leveraging multilingual learners’ home languages.
Module 04
Managing the Learning Environment
Learn how to effectively manage class time and student work through procedures and transitions that help students learn, develop and grow.
Module 05
Student Assessments
Understand curriculum planning, assessments, data analysis for informed instruction, parental communication, data-based decision-making for interventions, and reading instruction foundations, fluency, comprehension, and literacy assessment guidance.
Module 06
Planning & Preparation for Learning
Learn and practice skills in curriculum mapping, unit and lesson planning and understanding instructional practices on phonological and orthographic units, translanguaging and vocabulary acquisition.
Module 07
Introduction to Clinical Practice
Review the evaluation procedure, prepare lessons for the first week of teaching in the classroom and review strategies for managing the learning environment.
Module 08
Teacher Practice & Proficiency
Put your skills to work! This 12-week clinical practice places you in an actual classroom with a mentor teacher as you engage in reflective and collaborative teaching practice with your cohort.

Admission Requirements – TEACH-NOW® Teacher Preparation Certificate Program
Where to begin: You must meet the following requirements for admission into the TEACH-NOW® Teacher Preparation
Certificate program:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher). A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Submit your official baccalaureate degree transcripts with your application. See special notes on official transcripts here.
- 3.0 GPA. We seek a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.0 or higher, or equivalent experience.
- Transcript Evaluation (for non-US baccalaureate degrees). If you earned your baccalaureate degree outside of the United States or its territories, your official baccalaureate degree transcript must be evaluated. See special notes on Transcript Evaluation and Translation here.
- Written Writing Sample. Discuss your interest in education, reasons for choosing Moreland University, and what you hope to learn in this program. Minimum 200 words required for this writing sample to be valid.
- Government-Issued Photo ID. You must submit a photo of your government-issued ID as part of your application.
