FAQs
How is EDP different from tuition reimbursement?
Many districts already invest in tuition reimbursement, but as an Educator Development Partner you get our exclusive Investment Assurance — which allows districts to replace any teacher who withdraws during the coverage timeline at no extra cost.
How does Investment Assurance work?
Both EDP pathways include Investment Assurance, which protects your district’s investment if a participant leaves the program.
If a participant leaves, another educator can take their place at no additional cost. Accelerate coverage applies during the 9-month certification program, while Elevate coverage extends across the full three-year agreement.
How is EDP different from a traditional university partnership?
Most university partnerships focus on certification, but EDP goes beyond certification by combining educator preparation, mentorship, professional development, workforce insights, and Investment Assurance. This allows your district to support educators from certification through long-term career growth and retention.
What’s the difference between EDP’s Accelerate and Elevate pathways?
Both EDP pathways help educators earn certification through Moreland University’s accredited online TEACH-NOW Teacher Preparation Certificate Program.
Accelerate is a one-year solution focused on helping educators earn certification and addressing immediate workforce needs.
Elevate is a three-year solution that combines certification, mentorship, professional development, workforce insights, and retention support to help districts build a long-term educator development and retention strategy.
Why is EDP Elevate a three-year solution?
Certification is an important milestone, but it’s only one step in an educator’s professional journey.
The three-year structure of EDP’s Elevate Pathway allows your district to support educators through certification, early career growth, and ongoing professional development. It also provides workforce insights and mentorship that help district leaders better support and retain educators over time.
How does the Elevate Pathway support retention?
The EDP Elevate Pathway is designed to help districts create an environment where educators want to stay. Over the course of a three-year partnership, educators receive ongoing mentorship and professional development while district leaders gain workforce insights that help identify trends, provide targeted support, and strengthen long-term retention efforts.
